- Chrysocolla: “Named because of his use. The name comes from the Ancient Greek: "gold glue”, in allusion to the name of the material used to solder gold, and was first used by Theophrastus in 315 BCE.
Deposits: Chile, the United States (Nevada), Israel, Mexico, Peru, Russia, Democratic Republic of the Congo.
Quartz to Chrysocolla: quartz with inclusions of chrysocolla.
Eilat Stone: mixture of chrysocolla, turquoise and pseudo-malachite, deposit in the North of Eilat in Israel.”
